Christopher Allen is a proud U.S. Army Gulf War veteran, devoted husband, father, pastor. His life has been guided by faith, service, and a commitment to helping others overcome life's challenges. Through his ministry and community involvement, Christopher has dedicated himself to encouraging individuals and families to grow in faith, purpose, and personal responsibility.
As a member of the Board of Directors for Funky Fresh Start Inc., Christopher brings a veteran's perspective, strong moral leadership, and a passion for serving the community. His experience in both military service and ministry helps support the organization's mission of empowering veterans, youth, and families through education, mentorship, accountability, and hope.
Christopher believes that true transformation begins with faith, personal responsibility, and a willingness to move forward with purpose.
Master Sergeant (MSG) Michael Vargas is a U.S. Army combat veteran with 5 years of Active Duty service and 19 years in the Army Reserve, currently serving at the rank of Master Sergeant. Throughout his military career, he deployed in support of combat operations and earned numerous awards and commendations for his leadership, dedication, and service.
In addition to his military service, Michael has served his community as a Chicago Police Officer, Chicago Firefighter, and EMT-Basic, demonstrating a lifelong commitment to protecting and serving others. He is a proud father, respected leader, and strong advocate for discipline, fitness, mentorship, and community service.
Michael brings a wealth of experience in leadership, emergency services, and public service to the Board of Directors of Funky Fresh Start Inc., where he continues to support veterans, families, and communities through service and outreach.
